The Storm of 6th March 2010

 

Does everyone remember the Storm I wrote about last weekend? The one the scared the BEJESUS out of Tomika and I?

Well I came across some more photo's, taken across town and in the city that might explain a little better how horrific and shit-scary it really was, And how so very lucky we were, considering 90% of one side of my house is all windows.

ALSO... I know I didn't mention this, because I didn't find out until the next day, but my car, which is usually on the front lawn, was in the driveway at the time. Which was BLOODY LUCKY, because a HUGE tree branch fell right where it's usually parked! Pure dumb-luck? I think so!

I chose to do it as a Whrrl presentation, (thanks to Mama Kat at Mama's Losin' It! for suggesting it.)

(Regarding Whrrl... To be honest, I am what I would consider VERY computer savvy, but I found Whrrl, quite confusing to work out how to actually start a presentation. Is it me? Maybe it's me...?)

Even Mother Nature has a Mood Disorder!

 

Okay, so I get that Summer is over, seriously, I really do. But do we have to leave the delicious sunny goodness behind quite so quickly?

I haven't been here for the past day or so for a few good reasons, one of which is... It has been storming like a motherf***er! (Pardon the potty mouth.) I mean, the GOD-DAMNED heavens opened up!

I have been too scared to turn on a bloody light, let alone my trusty PC, just in case I blew a fuse or electrocuted myself. And what would I do without my computer? Honestly, I'd be lost with no music, photos or email. Not to mention Facebook, Twitter, YouTube. More importantly, how would I cope without StuffOnMyCat.com?!

How do you find out what is going on in the world without online social networking?! OH MY GOD... ebay!!! *faint* I'd rather be in prison. (At least they get conjugal visits... Tee hee.) So I decided to make the ultimate sacrifice and stay 'offline' *double faint*. I have satiated my thirst for technology by snapping pics of the storm, and cheating by getting online via my phone spending time with Tomika.
