Prison Break... I Broke!

Okay, so when I started this blog, I swore to myself that I wouldn't be one of those people who does reviews all the time and forces my opinion onto others. But I have to write this, I just HAVE TO! If you don't want to read it, I'll understand, I promise! But I swear, I don't give away anything important...

I finished watching Prison Break today, only to find that there was a SET OF MASSIVE FINAL TWISTS in the plot that threw me for a loop.

I won't say what they were, because I know that a few of you have expressed an interest in watching the show when I mentioned it the other day. Suffice to say, get ready for a fast-paced bumpy ride, and a finale that will shock your socks off!

I actually cried my eyes out. For about 5 minutes after it ended. Probably too much information, BUT I just had to say that. Sorry!

The show itself was FANTASTIC! Totally original concept, with so many twists and turns in the plot that it left me literally gasping and scrambling for the next episode. I got so invested in the characters and storyline, that at one point I realised I had actually pulled my chair up close to the screen, and was sitting strained forward yelling - yes yelling - at the TV. I loved it. Loved It. LOVED IT!

I was rooting for the characters like they were friends. Even the bad guys! Okay... To be a bit clearer, there were bad guys that turned good, and good guys that turned bad, and SOO many other things that went on that it left me wondering after every episode, what was going to happen. I am SOO GLAD I didn't watch it on TV, and that I waited for the whole series to come out on DVD first, because I think I would have popped a vein in my forehead if I'd had to wait a whole week for the next episode to air. I had enough trouble swapping out the DVD's without fumbling and dropping them in my haste!

And when it finished, I was left bereft, feeling like I wasn't sure what to do with myself.

I feel that way regularly when I read a series of books that I LOVE, but I have never felt like that with a TV show. NEVER EVER.

Prison Break will definitely be a show that I'm sure I'll watch again and again.

Oh and Fox? "YOU'RE WELCOME". And I'll take that Royalties payment now thanks. 50% of future DVD sales will be fine. You can wire it to my untraceable, numbered Swiss bank account. (Y'know, just in-case...)

  5. Hi Kristin.

Do I dare believe my eyes? Have I found another fan???

Do you mean, "It's a maze to Hell!" guy?

If you didn't like that, how did you feel about the Movie finale that tied it all together at the end?
